Grounding is a technique that helps keep you in the present and helps reorient you to the here-and-now, by getting you out of your head and into your body. You can use grounding techniques to help create space from distressing feelings in nearly any situation, but they're especially helpful for improving: anxiety and anxious thoughts about the future.
